Senior Accountant

We are currently searching for a full time senior accountant. The ideal candidate will be interested in career and growth potential within this well-established firm and possess the following attributes and skills:

· BA/BS in accounting form an accredited university is required
· Three to five years public accounting experience

· Licensed CPA or CPA candidate
· Responsible for supervising and completing financial statement and tax return engagements
· Training, motivating, and mentoring staff
· Excellent organizational and communication skills
· Ability to multi task
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills
· A self-starter and team player motivated and independent, who welcomes challenging assignments
· Knowledge and understanding of GAAP, IRS Code, and other governing principles and have the ability to apply to client transactions and to document and communicate such
· Expertise using Lacerte, QuickBooks, GoSystems Audit, and Microsoft Office programs

Full time Paraprofessional/ Junior Staff Accountant

The ideal candidate will be interested in career and growth potential within our well established firm and possess the following attributes and skills:

· AA/AS or equivalent credit toward BA/BS in accounting is required
· 1–2 years Bookkeeping experience in a CPA Firm or 3-5 years experience in corporate environment
· Some knowledge and understanding of GAAP
· Understanding of debits, credits, general ledger, and trial balance are essential
· Competence with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office programs
· A self-starter and team player, detail oriented, well organized, effective oral and written communications skills
·Quick ability to perform fairly routine but constant bookkeeping and administrative duties, including but not limited to:
· Review general ledger accounts and correcting journal entries;
· Performing account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and general ledger accounts;
· Managing the general ledger chart of accounts, payroll processing;
· Posting monthly, quarterly, and yearly accruals;
· Performing month-end closing and financial reporting;
· Preparation of sales tax returns and property tax statements.
