Full-Time Paraprofessional Accountant / Bookkeeper
This is a full-time salaried position requiring minimal overtime during busy seasons. Responsibilities include:
- Review general ledger accounts and prepare adjusting journal entries;
- Perform account analysis and reconciliation of GL, bank, and credit card accounts;
- Sales tax preparation;
- Managing the general ledger chart of accounts, payroll processing;
- Posting monthly, quarterly, and annual accruals;
- Performing month-end closing and financial statement preparation;
- Creative problem solving.
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter interested in taking initiative for their own personal growth and development. You also must possess the following skills and attributes:
- AA/AS in accounting is required;
- 1 – 2 years bookkeeping experience in a CPA firm or 5 – 7 years accounting experience in a corporate environment;
- Advanced competency in QuickBooks, Peachtree, Word, and Excel;
- Be detail oriented and well organized;
- Ability to assume a high degree of responsibility;
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
